Mu-Zee-Um: Educational service Museums of Ostend

The main objective of this website is to promote art (image, music, word, drama, movement and media) and cultural education among children, young people and adults. The Educational Service of the Municipal Museums of the city of Ostend is the initiator of these educational packages. The offer of these cultural and artistic activities continues at various locations in the city (including the Museum of Fine Arts). 'Mu-Zee-Um' already contains a lot of symbolism: * Mu: of musical education, multidisciplinary, multicultural, municipal * Sea: the sea is central as a symbol of light, space, rhythm, sound, composition, emotion,. .. * Um: the mirror image of 'mu' (the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end of this association) In concrete terms, you can participate with your students in eg 'INGEBEELD': playing with audiovisual media. Creations made by participants are virtually exhibited on this website. To arouse wonder and admiration for the 'artful happening' and to offer a rainbow of possibilities of expression is the aim of 'Mu-Zee-Um'.
