Rocket Fun: Design, Launch and Improve

In this super fun workshop, the participants will look for the properties of an ideal rocket. How many fins are optimal, at what launch angle does the rocket fly the furthest, how sharp should we make the tip, and should it be weighted or not? And above all… why is that?

If there is enough open space, we can work with water rockets. But the same workshop is just as possible indoors with paper rockets on air pressure. In both cases we bring our professional launch equipment that allows us to change and examine parameters such as launch pressure and launch angle.

Completely in accordance with the STEM principles, the students investigate their own answers, have to build, test and improve their design just like real engineers, and learn in a playful way about principles such as ballistics, aerodynamics and thrust.

This workshop is always a great success, the students find launching and designing their own rocket very fun and challenging.
