Verkiezingen: handig lesmateriaal
In 2024 gaan heel wat jongeren voor het eerst stemmen. Deze themapagina bundelt interessant lesmateriaal met betrekking tot de verkiezingen in het jaar 2024. Voor de meeste verkiezingen in België geldt een opkomstplicht.

- Vlaamse, Waalse en Brusselse verkiezingen (regionale verkiezingen): opkomstplicht vanaf 18 jaar
- Federaal: opkomstplicht vanaf 18 jaar
- Europees (ook voor 16- en 17-jarigen): opkomstplicht vanaf 16 jaar
Voor elk van de drie verkiezingen moet je apart stemmen, maar wel op dezelfde locatie en moment.

Voor de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen en provinciale verkiezingen in oktober zal er stemrecht zijn in Vlaanderen. In Brussel en Wallonië gaat het nog steeds om opkomstplicht.
Ook in de klas ga je als leerkracht mogelijk aan de slag rond de verkiezingen. Zowel leraren als organisaties delen hun lesmateriaal over de verkiezingen met jou. Zo kan jij je leerlingen voorbereiden op het stemmen.
Het Archief voor Onderwijs verzamelt een pak audiovisueel lesmateriaal waarmee je jouw klassen wegwijs maakt doorheen de verkiezingen en het politieke veld op één handige pagina, die in aanloop naar de verkiezingen regelmatig wordt bijgewerkt.
Verwijs je leerlingen zeker ook naar nws.nws.nws op Instagram! Ze vinden er De Stemtest 2024 voor jongeren en allerhande video's, reels en foto's in het dossier KIES24 en KIES24: Europa.

Op zoek naar specifiek lesmateriaal? Aan de linkerkant van deze pagina kan je verschillende handige filters gebruiken waarmee je o.a. gerichter kan zoeken per onderwijsniveau of soort lesmateriaal.
Actief leren over democratie

Ruimer dan je denkt
Verkiezingen gaat over zoveel meer. Vind extra informatie en inspiratie op volgende themapagina's:
- Controverse in de klas: Een politieke discussie in de klas? Hoe ga je om met gevoelige thema's en gepolariseerde onderwerpen zonder dat je klas opvliegt.
- Actief burgerschap: Over het actief opnemen van je rol als burger in de maatschappij. Dat kan bijvoorbeeld al in de leerlingenraad. Ook daarover hebben we een themapagina.
- Desinformatie - Fake news: Materiaal en inspiratie over fake-news of nepnieuws.
- Propaganda en mediawijsheid: De propaganda die verspreid wordt via het internet onderscheidt zich door de snelheid waarmee de berichten zich vermenigvuldigen. Daarom is het een must om beelden leren te lezen en propaganda te herkennen.

't Is aan u! is een project van De Ambrassade en partners uit verschillende sectoren.
Deze partners werken elk vanuit hun expertiseveld aan hetzelfde doel: ervoor zorgen dat in 2024 jongeren geïnformeerd en gemotiveerd naar de stembus kunnen.
