Alfabetisering
Op 8 september is het Werelddag van de Alfabetisering. UNESCO heeft deze dag in het leven geroepen om aandacht te hebben voor analfabetisme in onze wereld. Personen die niet voldoende kunnen lezen, schrijven en spellen zijn analfabeet, terwijl iemand die een lager niveau haalt qua lezen, schrijven en spellen laaggeletterd is.
Leren lezen en schrijven op school
Onderwijs is héél belangrijk om te leren lezen en schrijven. Laaggeletterden en analfabeten komen het meest voor in landen waarin er weinig aandacht is voor onderwijs, of omdat niet iedereen er toegang toe heeft.
Lesmateriaal over alfabetisering
Heel veel collega's bewijzen dat we in ons land veel inspanningen doen. Leraren maken (en delen!) spelletjes, stappenplannen, draaikaartjes en zelfs hele woordenboeken om te gebruiken in de klas.
