Simon, the boy who managed to escape: Book and lesson folder

The book Simon , the little boy who managed to escape , is a useful didactic instrument to talk about the Holocaust with young children. Simon Gronowski , child of Jewish immigrants, is a boy like all boys of eleven: he has an older sister whom he worships, he goes to the scouts and sometimes dares to play out bad boys. With simple prints we walk through his story and the children understand how Simon is discriminated against by the Nazis, hunted down and locked up in the Dossin barracks in Mechelen. The book is based on a true story. A lesson folder is also provided with the book.
