How Inflation Affects Wages: Exercise
Inflation is an economic fact. It forms the basis of the indexing. This command discusses three different indexes:
- common index;
- health index;
- pivot index.
The core of the exercise is the consequences on income. In this assignment, the living wage is used. The lowest income group.
Ultimately, the consequences on the living wage (lowest incomes) are calculated on the basis of the various indices by using formulas in Excel.
In addition to a classic calculation exercise, working with Excel, the exercise also has a social theme.
Updating the figures makes the exercise permanently relevant.
