Animal ethics and welfare: Eye to eye, lesson 2
In this lesson, students explore their emotional attachment to animals through the theme of animal ethics. They do this by discussing whether animal rights belong in the constitution. They assume the role of adherents of anthropocentrism, ratiocentrism, pathocentrism, biocentrism and ecocentrism. Afterwards, the students brainstorm about what the word animal welfare means exactly and supplement it with information from articles.
