Mood language: Compose your own rap!

The 'STEM language' project follows the typical STEM structure with an introduction to the challenge, a number of chapters that provide students with the necessary tools to take on the challenge and ultimately the realization of the challenge, namely composing and presenting its own rap.

The project is structured as follows:

  • The challenge
  • The melody
  • A song text
  • Meter and Rhythm
  • The challenge: Compose a rap
  • Appendix: Creating a beat with a MIDI keyboard and Ableton

Students work with a student bundle that contains a combination of F2F and blended activities. All chapters contain digital components, such as sound fragments or videos. The students learn about sound and tone online
packages from IMuSciCA. They use Ableton Live software to create their rap music
compose.
