The sea starts with you: do you help protect the sea?

Litter on the street quickly ends up in the sea via the wind, streams and rivers. There it poses a danger to animals. They confuse waste with food or can become entangled in it.

This website offers many simple tips to limit waste and prevent it from ending up in the sea. After all, protecting the sea starts with yourself!

Together we can keep nature, seas and oceans clean, protect animals and prevent microplastics from ending up on our own plates. You will find a lot of tips there.

  • Make sure you don't lose your mouth mask. Throw your used mouth mask in the residual waste bag.
  • Always take your drinking bottle and lunch box or cloth lunch bag with you.
  • Wherever you are, don't leave any trash behind. Throw it in the trash or take it with you and sort it at home.
  • Make sure that balloons do not end up in nature or the sea: do not let them fly. Birds, fish and other animals perceive balloon pieces as food or become entangled in them.

On the website you will also find some videos about waste in the sea and posters of the campaign against mouth masks in the sea.
