Philosophy of Life and Violence: Workshop
How do you make a theme such as philosophy of life and violence a subject for discussion? Axcent developed a workshop on philosophy of life, dialogue and violence. Pupils learn in an interactive way that philosophy of life is often automatically associated with violence, but that there is also a different view. Through various exercises, the students understand the use of stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination. This is followed by a philosophical quiz and a few cases (group work) in which violence and ideology are linked (such as Israel-Palestine, Ukraine, Myanmar and Rohinya, The Troubles...). This workshop also includes a statement game and some class discussions on the theme of philosophy of life and violence.
