Electricity: Exercises on series connection of resistors

A Word document for Mac and Windows PC with macros to create a task with improvement key for exercises on calculating circuits with two or three resistors connected in series. The Word document contains a clear and concise manual. The teacher can adjust many parameters in the Word document.

The tool contains the option to create individual assignments per student or class to differentiate.

The macro has ten types of exercises:

  1. Calculate replacement resistance, current and voltage per resistance if R1, R2 and Utotal are known.
  2. Calculate replacement resistance, total voltage and voltage per resistance if R1, R2 and current I are known.
  3. Calculate replacement resistance and one individual resistance if Utotal, I and the other resistances are known.
  4. Calculate Utotal, current I and the voltage across the resistors if all resistances and the voltage across one resistor are known.
  5. Same as 1. with three resistors
  6. Same as 2. with three resistors
  7. Same as 3. with three resistors
  8. Same as 4. with three resistors
  9. Calculating total resistance, current and voltage across one resistor in a circuit with N equal resistances
  10. Calculating total resistance, voltage across one resistor and total voltage across a circuit with N equal resistances

The macro creates two documents: a task and the associated improvement key. The user can provide a template so that both documents are immediately ready to use.

The number and types of exercises can be specified.

Ideal for differentiation exercises and tests.

The attached Word documents are examples of a task, an improvement key and a list of students.
